Cypress Pine is a beautiful and durable wood that offers many benefits. It’s accepting of paints or stains, but some homeowners like the natural look because it can weather to dark grey with time without being treated afterwards.
The choice of fence material depends on your specific needs, budget, and general weather conditions in the area. Cypress pine timber is a durable, rot-resistant option that will last longer than treated pine, but it’s more expensive. The other advantage of it is it’s termite resistant so if you live with termites or near their territory then consider that fact when deciding which is best for your situation.
No, despite cypress pine having similar characteristics to hardwood, it is a softwood. Although it has the strength to be a great material for fence posts, beams for pergolas, etc. It’s also easy enough to be worked on with both hand and power tools.
