NewTechWood is the stable horse within our composite decking suite. This product has been on the market for over 20 years, so they’ve got some skin in the game and have refined their product. It’s manufactured using 95% recycled materials, including recycled HDPE plastic and timber fibres from offcuts and waste.
NewTechWood has an extensive range of decking products to suit commercial and domestic applications within a range of budgets. Each range has a suite of colours to select from and there is a composite cladding offer if you’d like to match your walls to deck.
NewTechWood have done the hard work of have their products tested and rated to Bushfire Attack Levels (BAL).
The Avenue Decking Range is NewTechWood’s entry level offer. It is fully capped using UltraSheild coextrusion capping technology for protection against scratching and fading.
The Terrace Range is suitable for both residential and commercial applications. It is a dual sided board with a commercial grade, slip resistant surface backing. Think poolside and wet area applications (just ensure you install the slip-resistant side face up). The Terrace Range can achieve a BAL 29 rating.
The Coastal Decking range stands out given it’s impressive 210mm width and deep weathered look. If you like the width but not the weathered texture, this board is also reversible to a commercial grade face.
We love an Australian made product, Everdeck is manufactured in Tasmania. The boards are designed to designed to withstand tough Australasian conditions such as harsh sun and UV exposure, or wet and damp environments.
Everdeck is manufactured from recycled plastic and at least 50% FSC certified plantation timber residues such as wood shavings. Everdeck is a brand of Timberlink – an Australian renewable plantation pine timber manufacturing business we’ve been partnering with for many years. Our trade customers will know the Timberlink brand from the framing pine available in store and within our prefabricated products.
Everdeck is a slip resistant dual sided composite decking option. Each side is in a different colour… so if you’re indecisive you’ve got right up to install to change your mind. Or perhaps you want to change the look of your deck down the track – you can flip the boards!
Enter the Rolls Royce of composite decking. Eva-Last is a third generation PVC composite. It has three distinct ranges with a broad variety of colours to select from. Eva-Last is slip, scratch, stain, UV, weather and decay resistant. It uses recycled plastics and solar power in its manufacture. It also comes with a 30 year limited warranty.
The Pioneer range is real wood replicated on a reinforced PVC composite. Pioneer is a third-generation PVC composite and uses a photorealistic high resolution digital print replicating the visual beauty of solid timber colours, figure and grain patterns.
The surface has a clear outerwear layer which provides extra protection for the colour and resiliency of the boards. There are three options for a Blackbutt aesthetic and one for Spotted Gum. Boards are 5.4Lm in length meaning you can achieve the visual aesthetic of long length hardwood decking.
Pioneer is slip, scratch, stain and UV-resistant, weather and decay resistant.
The Apex Plus range was chosen for its composition from Cellular PVC with glass fibre reinforcement which minimises expansion and contraction. Apex Plus has a natural looking aesthetic with dual colour tones and a pronounced grain finish. It has a P5 slip resistance rating.
The Infinity IS Range is Eva-Last’s entry level offer. It is a light weight polymer composite. It’s a capped product with a revolutionary I-beam design which helps to reduce its cost given the design uses less material. The I beam design maintains span capabilities, strength and stiffness for efficient installation.
Our original composite deck offer. Modwood is an Australian made and owned first generation composite decking product made of up to 90% recycled or reclaimed materials. It’s a low maintenance, affordable product that remains a favourite amongst some of our trade customers.
ModWood’s Natural Grain Collection is inspired by the colours and grain pattern found in natural timber. The board is reversible – one face is smooth and the other is brushed. The 137mm profiles have a deep embossed pattern on both faces and achieve a R11 slip rating. The 88mm board and composite screening have a lightly embossed finish.
ModWood has been in the local market for years – chances are you’ve already walked on a ModWood deck. But if you haven’t, visit our showroom to have a look at the display
The Deckorators decking range is manufactured using their mineral based (silica free) Surestone technology. It’s composition delivers superior strength and stability when compared to traditional wood-plastic based composites. It delivers this, whilst being almost 35% lighter in weight compared to traditional composites.
We’ve added this composite to our suite because it offers low (virtually no) thermal expansion which helps maintain its structural integrity in extreme temperatures. An infrared-reflective cap reduces the solar heat absorption, keeping boards cooler underfoot.
Deckorators Decking has virtually no moisture absorption, making it ideal for wet climates or applications. Consider it for pool areas, boardwalks and jetties.
It comes in a range of colours and textures to help transform your outdoor space into an escape haven – Tahiti, Amalfi, and Bali are options within the range.
If it’s good enough for Tony Hawk’s place, it’s good enough for us. The US manufactured TimberTech range is made from advanced PVC with no wood fibres, making it resistant to moisture, mould, mildew, splintering, cracking, cupping, peeling, and rotting. Approximately 60% of the materials used to manufacture TimberTech composite decking is recycled – including post-construction scrap like vinyl siding (cladding / weatherboards) and trims.
Impressively, this product is fully recyclable at the end of its service life in the US – contributing to circular sustainability.
We’ve selected the Vintage Collection from TimberTech’s Advanced PVC decking range. It’s not Tony Hawks PVC decking selection – but it complements the range on offer at Barwon Timber. The Vintage Collection mimics the aesthetic of premium hardwoods such as Ipe, Mahogany and Teak with a refined wire brush finish and multi-tonal colour blending (you’ll see the difference when you visit our display). The Vintage Collection has been tested and can achieve a BAL 29 rating.
If you want a curved deck, this is the composite for you – TimberTech’s PVC decking range can be curved to custom shapes and sizes on site. If you’re going to curve your decking, your installer should contact Barwon Timber and can refer you to the TimberTech technical team for assistance. It requires a bit of skill and experience working with TimberTech decking.
