Lunawood™ is premium concealed-fix timber cladding system, designed to create a clean, contemporary façade without visible fixings. Featuring a precision-machined tongue and groove profile, Lunawood delivers a seamless appearance while maintaining the natural warmth and character of genuine timber.

Manufactured from Nordic Red Baltic Softwood & thermally modified, this versatile cladding combines exceptional durability with a bold architectural aesthetic. The thermal modification process involves treating the wood in high temperatures between 180°C to 230°C in a controlled environment with just heat and steam. The result is a Class 2 thermally modified, chemical free timber that can be used for interior and exterior applications. It’s above-ground only life expectancy is 15-40 years, depending on application.

Lunawood can be machined with either eased or square top and bottom edges to suit project requirements. For horizontal installations, eased top edges are recommended to minimise moisture retention within the profile groove. The system is also available in a range of board widths while maintaining the same tongue and groove profile, allowing architects and designers to create custom layouts, mixed-width patterns, and striking feature walls. For increased installation efficiency, Lunawood can be supplied end-matched.

The end-matching profile creates self-supporting joins that can be staggered between battens, reducing material waste and installation time while delivering a professional finish. Barwon Timber also offers a selection of complementary timber and aluminium stops to complete the cladding system.
