Battenclad™ is Barwon Timber’s unique vertical cladding system, designed by our timber mill to create a bold, multi-dimensional batten design. Featuring a precision-machined profile with a distinctive 20mm centre groove and a matching 20mm shiplap join, Battenclad achieves the architectural appearance of individually fixed timber battens without the labor-intensive installation.

Engineered exclusively for vertical applications, this continuous shadow-line system creates striking vertical lines that elevate modern facades, feature walls, and high-end residential or commercial designs.

Manufactured from premium Queensland Western Red Cedar, this cladding profile combines exceptional structural stability with the natural warmth and lightweight character of a world-class timber. Western Red Cedar is celebrated for its outstanding natural resistance to rot, decay, and termites, making it an ideal choice for the harsh Australian climate. Featuring a stunning natural palette that shifts from light straw and honey-amber tones through to rich reddish-browns, it creates a highly textured, premium aesthetic that can also be left to weather gracefully into a silver-grey patina over time.
