Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF) sheets, also referred to as craftwood or fibron, are a reconstituted wood panel product.

MDF is a dry-processed fibreboard manufactured from wood fibres, as opposed to particles and veneers, and is denser than particleboard and plywood. MDF has an even density throughout and is smooth on both sides.

What happens if MDF gets wet?

When exposed to wet conditions, MDF swells and loses shape.
