Fascia boards are easy to work with and versatile for use in a range of building projects.

Made from LOSP-treated pine, Barwon Timber’s fascia boards are available in the following sizes:

  • 188 x 30mm
  • 230 x 32mm

Fascia boards are available in a range of lengths, from 3.6 to 7.2 metres, and are pre-grooved to take eave sheets. These timber boards can be re-machined as a replacement product to replace different thicknesses and profiled materials.

As the boards are pre-primed, they are ready to paint in any colour. The pine fascia boards supplied by Barwon Timber are strong, durable and LOSP (Light Organic Solvent Preservative) treated. The LOSP treatment protects the boards against fungal decay, rot and insect attack, giving the boards a long-lasting finish.

FAQs

Why use LOSP timber for fascia boards?

LOSP-treated pine timber is a great choice for outdoor applications because of its smooth finish and ability to match any design style.

As well as fascia boards, they can also be widely used in pergolas and decks.

What is LOSP timber treated with?

LOSP (which stands for Light Organic Solvent Preservative) is a type of treatment that contains white spirit and Copper Naphthenates with other chemicals to protect against insects or decay.

Do I need personal protection equipment when working with LOSP primed timber?

LOSP contains a preservative that is safe for use around people including children and pets.

However, handling, sawing and sanding any timber materials can present a hazard when airborne particles are generated in the process of working with these items.

See the EPA Working with and handling treated timber safely website for more information.

Can LOSP primed timber be used for internal building applications?

H3 LOSP primed timber is rated for outdoor above-ground use in well ventilated areas.

How to dispose of LOSP primed offcuts?

As with all treated timbers, do not burn offcuts or sawdust.

Preservative-treated wood should be disposed of by approved local authority methods to prevent the spread of chemical pollutants leaching into the environment.
